These printers were on the market in 2002 to 2004 and were one of HP's early moves towards producing an office quality inkjet printer. Laser printers commonly do last ten years or more but that is not normal in an inkjet. HP's Partsurfer website says no longer supported by HP as of Apr-01-2006
so this model was not supported for very long. If you want spares there may be some in distribution channels or in second user machines.
Control:
Simple control panel with LCD ink gauge. Unwanted print jobs can be easily deleted using the special Print Cancel
button.

Service:
For the most part these printers suffer the same faults as all inkjets - ink dries in the nozzles. This is likely after the printer has not been used for some time and is difficult to shift and possibly uneconomic because of the price of a complete set of inks and heads.

This reflects industry trends, where in-house technical teams often do most of their own maintenance.
