HP Color LaserJet 4730MFP
High Performance multifunction printer, scanner, copier.
The Color LaserJet 4730MFP uses inline toner print elements and direct to page printing to give throughput of up to 30 pages per minute. The print engine is integrated with a high performance scanner giving a multifunction printer, copier, digital sender and fax.
The printer base is similar to the CLJ 4700 and CP4005

Control:
Graphical display to assist control panel users. Embedded web server for support and supplies ordering. HP SureSupply enabled.
Duty Cycle:
HP documents differ on monthly print volume - 100,000 for the printer or 175,000 pages for the MFP version. Both figures are so high they just indicate the printer is robust. The recommended monthly volume for the CLJ 4730MFP is 5,000 to 9,000 pages.
Print Speed:
Print Speed: 30 ppm First page in 10 seconds using instant-on technology to reduce warm up time.
Scanner Abilities:
Optical scanner: flatbed with an ADF. Scanning at 600x600dpi to 30 bit depth or 600x300 with the ADF. Scan to copy, email, fax, folder and workflow capabilities. Digital sending software is optional (ie extra).
Copy Abilities:
Thought to be full print speed, ie 30 pages per minute at 600x300dpi.
Fax Abilities:
Analogue fax capabilities are optional at time of purchase. The fax can be retrofitted .

Network Protocols:
See documentation for the appropriate JetDirect Card. Vitually all systems can print to network printers using either PCL or Postscript. HP Utilities support Microsoft XP, Server 2003, Apple Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X 10.1, OS/2, Unix and HP OpenVMS. Protocol support is IP Direct, Port 9100, LPD, DLC/LLC etc.
