The Model B adds user selectable faster drying times, more memory capacity, a new halftone dither, PANTONE support and Novell Certification.
Panel with VFD display. To print the configuration use Full-menu mode - Utlities - Config Plot.
HP suggest 40 pages per day of medium density A0 plots or 10 pages of medium-density or image prints. Occasional use to 100 plots per day but this may result in increased maintenance requirements. There is a plot counter in the EEPROM which is printed in a configuration plot. For bizzare reasons is in Hex and in reverse order.
HP give a full specification of the web but for some reason omitt any indication of speed. The 650C is very like the 600 so will give its speed - an A1 line diagram in under 3 minutes. A full colour photograph will take much longer.
300x300 dpi for final and draft modes in mon and colour and an enhanced 600x600 dpi mono mode.
A0 or A1 models.
An Intel 80960 32 Bit RISC device.
4MB as standard on board. SiMM slots can also accept ROM SIMMs (such as the PostScript module)

MIO slot for JetDiect, installed on the PS models.
HP-GL, HP-GL/2, HP-RTL, PJL. The 650C PS models have PostScript installed. According to HP documentation the model A has "Hot I/O switching" and the model B adds "automatic language switching"
