HP Laserjet 1100
HP LaserJet 1100 Monochrome Laser Printer and 1100A AIO
Laserprinter for A4 etc aimed at small office use with 8 page per minute performance. The 1100A is the same printer styled as an "All-in-One" (AIO) with a fax-style scanner. The design is quite old but since the printers perform well with business text and are quite small many of these remain in use.

Laserjet 1100A is the multifunction copier with the RG5-4370 Scanner and copy unit.
Note: the printer voltage is factory fixed.
Control:
Simple controls - Go button, ready and attention lights. (Light patterns indicate error conditions). All other user controls are in the printer driver.

Speed 8 pages per minute
Scanner Abilities:
The LJ1100A is a multifunction copier version of the printer. An RG5-4370 scanner attaches to the front of the printer so it remains a neat unit.

Resolution 600 dpi with Resolution Enhancement technology (REt)

Paper handling: A4 letter and custom sizes
Paper sizes from 3x5 inches to 8.5x14 inches (76x127 to 216x356 mm). Paper weights from 60 to 163 g/m2 to straight-through slot.
Priority feed slot allows the first page to print on different media
Input bin at rear of printer holds up to 125 sheets of 75 g/m paper or up to 10 envelopes.
Straight-through face-up path for printing envelopes and other heavy media.
Duplex:
Manually turn pages over for double-sided print. There is no auto-duplex.
Processor:
Motorola ColdFire 5202 at 35 MHz
Memory:
1MB RAM. The processor and memory are just about sufficient for a GDI printer.
Interface:
Parallel - IEEE 1284 C parallel port
Print Languages:
HP PCL 5e only - so it's primarily a Windows printer
System Compatability:
Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, NT4, OS/2. ECP parallel port recommended.
