HP LaserJet 3050 All-in-One (Q6504A)
The LaserJet 3050 is the basis for a series of all-in-one printer / scanner / copier and fax machines. These are low cost multifunction machines primarily for use in small offices with one or two users. The printer used as a base is quite fast. Bundled with a scanner and some support software such as Readiris OCR it has a wide appeal.

A faster print engine is used in these machines which are otherwise very similar.

Predecessor to the LJ3050AiO was the 3015AiO. Main differences were a smaller 32MB memory, a slightly slower 15ppm print speed and a 150 sheet paper tray.
Control:
The LJ3050 looks somewhat like a traditional fax machine with a sloping sheetfeed scanner that the page passes through. Controls look like a fax as well.

Print Speed:
The printer handles A4 pages at 18 pages per minute.
Scanner Abilities:
Optical resolution is 600x600 dpi with resolution enhancement up to 19200dpi. Scan to copy is at 600dpi. Scan to file formats are JPEG, TIF, GIF, PNG, BMP and PDF. Direct scan to email and to folder capability.
Copy Abilities:
copies to 99 pages. Zoom from 25% up to 400% Copy resolution 600x600 dpi
Fax:
Fax capacity is V34 with storage in a 4MB flash storage chip. The fax has various modes up to 300x300 with halftone enabled for photographs.
Print Resolution:
1200 dpi maximum.
Paper Handling:
Tray for up to 250 sheets of plain paper or ten envelopes in A4 and letter sizes. Envelopes would more likely be fed through the priority input slot which can handle up to 10 sheets or one envelope.

Processor is a Motorola ColdFire V4e working at 264MHz

Fuser:
