HP Laserjet 9050

HP Laserjet 9050 Printer Series

The HP LaserJet 9040 and 9050 series are black and white laser printers with a wide paper path capable of handling A3 and tabloid paper.

The print-engine is based on that used in the LaserJet 9000 and shares parts with it.

The 9050 series is the same engine and takes the same options as the 9040, the difference is simply firmware increasing the speed.

Recently HP has revised and renamed this series so that the multifunction machines gain a letter "M" making the "M9050MFP".

LCD number pad with 4 lines of text and animated graphics. 10 key number pad. Network administration supports HP Web Jetadmin etc.

Up to 300,000 pages per month

Print Speed:

50 pages per minute of A4

Print Resolution:

draft up to 600x600 dpi. Best FastRes 1200 (1200dpi quality).

Paper Handling:

A3 capable paper path with a multifunction tray (most models) and 500 sheets tray 2 and 3 built in.

Tray 2 & 3500 sheets A3, A4 etc 64 to 199 gsm. A 200 sheet optional tray can be added under the printer.

Print Margin:1mm

Duplex:

Built in on "D" models.

Memory:

Base model 64MB, N and DN modesl 128MB. Expandable to 512MB RAM using 2 x DDR DIMM slots. A 20GB hard disk can be used for job storage.

Base models have IEEE 1284-B compliant parallel ports

HP PCL 5e, HP PCL 6, HP Postscript Level 3 Emulation, PDF v 1.3 emulation, XHTML-Print v 0.95, HP PJL (Printer Job Language), PML (Printer Management Language).

Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003. Apple Mac OS 9 and OS10. Unix, Linux and OS/2 are also supported.

Power Consumption:

Off 0.7 watts. Powersave 18 watts on base model, 36 watts on N and DN models. Standby 205 watts. Printing 1000 watts.
