LaserJet M1522n (CC372A) and M1522nf MFP (CB534A)

The HP LaserJet M1522n is a monochrome multifunction printer and copier with a colour scanner. Laserprinter print quality gives clear, crisp, lasting prints. A network port allows easy sharing in small workgroups.

Predecessor to this model was the M1120MFP, which was slightly slower and had no scanner ADF and only an option for network connection.

Controls: 2 - line LCD text display, alpahnumeric buttons, Copy and Scan buttons. The M1522MFPnf has Fax buttons as well. More complicated tasks are assisted by the HP toolbox FX program included on the CD.

Duty Cycle: Recommended 250 to 2,000 page per moth with a maximum of 8,000 per month.

Speed: 23 pages per minute
First print in less than 9.5 seconds from PowerSave mode.

Print Resolution: 600 x 600 dpi. Claims an effective 1200 dpi with FastRes and TrueRes.

Scanner: Flatbed scanner with an ADF.Resolution of 1200 x 1200 at 24 bit colour. Enhanced scanning resolution to 19200 dpi. The scanner has an ADF with a capacity of 50 sheets handling A4 and letter from 60 to 90 gsm. Scan file format: JPEG, TIF, BMP, GIF, PDF and PNG.

Fax: The "NF" model supports mon faxing at up to 300dpi, halftone enabled, at 33.6 Kbps (3 seconds per page)

Paper Handling: A4, A5, B5, letter, legal.

250 sheet tray for paper from 3x5 to 8.5x14 inches 76x127 to 216x356mm. Paper weights 60 to 163gsm. A priority tray is provided for letterheads and envelopes.

There is no automatic duplex option but manual duplexing is supported in the print-driver.

64MB RAM with Memory Enhancement (MEt) and 4MB Flash fax memory. Memory is not expandable.

Ethernet TCP/IP print-server and a USB2.0 Hi-SPeed port as standard.The fax model has an RJ-11 fax and line out port.

HP PCL-5, HP PCL-6, HP PostScript level 3 emulation.

Full capabilities are available using Microsoft Windows XP and Vista or Apple Mac OS X v10.3.

System support:

Bonjour discovery supported. Also support for Linux an Citrix MetaFrame - but the scanner may sometimes be an issue.
