HP Laserjet M4345 MFP
A4 multifunction printer with copying and colour scan, fax, email and document sending capabilities. High speed with up to 43 pages per minute throughput.
This printer has a flexible architecture and supports multiple input trays, stacking, stapling and document-finishing, and a 3-bin mailbox. The M4345MFP is an updated version of the 4345MFP; both are based on the very reliable LaserJet 4300 printer
Normally the LJ M4345MFP will be attached to computers through a network. This allows features like remote document storage. However it's a complete standalone copier and doesn't require a computer.
A significant improvement over the previous model is the control panel.
Features:

- Automatic input of documents to be scanned using a 50 sheet reversing Automatic Document Feeder handles single and double sided documents.
- Two-sided copying (duplexing) on models with the printer auto duplex installed.
- Image modification - scale and re-arrange images.
- Color digital sending - comes as standard with send to email and network folder capability, network authentication and LDAP support.
- Document finishing using the stapler / stacker output option.
Although the Laserjet M4345is somewhat improved over the older 4345 design the changes are largely in terms of software. Parts and consumables remain the same.
Control:
Text and graphics on a touch screen LCD display and a 10 key numeric pad for user interaction. Major functions can be accessed through the control panel for stand-alone use. Administrators can modify control panel use via the embedded web server interface.
All models are networked and support Web Jetadmin and an embedded Web Server. Remote diagnostics, e-mail alerts, job tracking and accounting.

- Automatic document feeder (ADF): Holds up to 50sheets of paper.
- ADF duplex scanning: The ADF has an automatic duplex feature for scanning two-sided documents.
- ADF output bin: The ADF output bin is underneath the ADF input tray. The bin holds up to 50sheets, and the device automatically stops when this bin is full.

Paper Handling:
Designed for standard office paper A4 and letter sizes.
Input capacity: of up to 2,100 sheets using 3 optional Trays. Base model takes 100 sheets in multifunctional tray 1 and 500 sheets in Tray 2. Trays 3,4 and can be added.
Tray 1:Multifunction tray for paper from 3x5 to 8.5x14 inches. (76x127mm to 216x356mm). Weights 60 to 200 gsm. Weights beyond 120 gsm and custom sizes aren't supported by the duplex unit, envelope feeder or stapler.
Tray 2:Paper from 5.8x8.3 to 8.5 x 14 inches (148x210 to 216x356 mm). Weights 60 to 120 gsm.
Tray 3,4 and 5:Optional, specification as for tray 2. Gives the maximum 2,100 sheet input capacity.
Output Bin:The standard output bin is located on the left side of the device. This bin and can hold up to 500sheets of paper.

Printer drivers allow you to gain access to the device features and allow the computer to communicate with the device (using a printer language).
The device uses the PCL 5, PCL 6, and HP postscript level 3 emulation printer description language (PDL) drivers.
- Use the PCL 6 printer driver for the best overall performance.
- Use the PCL 5 printer driver for general office printing.
- Use the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver for printing from postscript level 3 emulation needs, or for postscript flash font support.
