HP Photosmart A826 Home Photo Center (Q8550A)

A colour inkjet photo printer with a big LCD touch-screen for printing, editing and viewing. The A826 aims to give users many of the photo printing and editing features they'd get from a PC packed in a compact and user friendly form.

The big screen can be used to show a slideshow and act as a digital picture frame. Printing direct from PictBridge cameras and from a wide variety of memory cards. Print from camera phones by adding an optional HP Bluetooth adapter (eg bt450 or bt500 USB 2.0 Wireless Printer Adapters. The printer uses a single "tri-colour" catridge. Pictures can be smudge and water resistant using HP Advanced Photo Paper and HP 110 Tri-Colour "Vivera" cartridges. HP's Photosmart A636 is a comparable printer - it is designed for portability so it has a smaller screen and less paper capacity. The A826 ships with HP Photosmart software for Windows and Mac.

Control:

The main control is a 177mm ( 7 inch) touch screen backed by a 142mm (5.6 inch) colour LCD screen (main menu entries are down the sides). Photos can be previewed and selected on screen. The printer can enhance photos, remove red eye and adjust lighting. Using an on screen keyboard users can add captions and descriptions.

100x150mm (4x6 inch) drafts in 39 seconds and photo quality in 79 seconds
