HP Q3948-67904 ADF Bogie Replacement Kit

This kit provides the bogie and separation pad for the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) used in the HP Color LaserJet 2820 / 2830 and 2840 printers.

The main part has two rollers in a little geared bogie; this part is used in the LaserJet 2820, 2830, 2840;LJ 3020, 3030;LJ 3052, 3055;LJ 3380, 3390; 3392;LJ M1522,LJ M2727; CLJ CM1312 CM2320

however HP sell the 5851-3580 Pickup arm and Bogey for those printers .

This part is accompanied by a separation pad which probably fits those machines. (Its partQ2665-60125)

There are also two spare screws. Note that these are torx-screws and HP don't supply a screwdriver with the kit.

HP do supply leaflet Q3948-90945 which gives brief instructions on how to change the roller-bogie but not the pad.

Briefly; the roller bogie drops out when the green button just behind the load-arm is pressed. It's replacement just lifts and loacks into place when it is in the right orientation. The pad screws in underneath it.

If replacing the rollers and pad does not solve a problem then Q3948-67903   provides the complete ADF mechanism.

The Laserjet 3015 and Laserjet 3050 and the LaserjetM1319f   have a different forward-facing ADF. This takes roller RM1-0885 and pad RM1-0891 rather than this part.
