HP RC1-0136 Delivery Bushing for HP LaserJet P4014 and M601 Printers

top-right-photo

HP RC1-0136 is the bushing used to hold the drive cogs for the exit assembly in the LaserJet 4200, 4250, P4014 and enterprise 600 M601 and M604 series .

A bushing is a bearing for a shaft, in this case its flanged and has a locating tab.

Although HP list the part as orderable it probably isn't needed very often - unless they get lost in repair workshops. At the time of writing in July 2013 a couple of distributors list them at a price of about £2.20 but have no stock on hand.

HP say:

Roller bushing - Bushing that supports middle of paper delivery roller

RC1-0136

This part might also be known by the Canon number RC1-0136-000 and HP's full code is RC1-0136-000CN. HP Partsurfer lists quite a lot of printers using this part in the LaserJet 4 and onwards. It seems to have been a stalwart of the series.

Icecat shows product code RC1-0136-000CN and has GTIN 5704327100300

Alternate part number RC1-0136-000CN

The bushing has been used in all of HP's big mono printers from the LaserJet 4200 onwards including the LJ-4240, 4250, 4300, 4350, P4014 series, M601, M602, M603, M604, M605 and M606.

The bushing is shown in context on the diagram here .

Web Research

A Google Query on RC1-0136 in 2013 gave with the first in organic search being as follows:

aliexpress.com irrelevant page, library.duke.edu irrelevant page, tapandtrack.com irrelevant page, sphardware.com $2.76, ibraggiotti.com irrelevant page, google.co.uk irrelevant page, google.co.uk irrelevant page, rubylane.co.uk irrelevant page, reviews.llvm.org script, wakefield.co.za property, castalbums.org collectors hits, crownimportslic.com irrelevant page, arbikas.com pdf, mindmachine.co.uk info page, feedroller.com no price, realtimetrains.co.uk irrelevant page, eu-logos.org irrelevant page, power-systems-de irrelevant page, patentimages irrelevant page

Prices noted are for a new item, one off, without tax. The list is as encountered. We haven't bothered with currency conversion - half of our readers are outside the UK and are more interested in dollar prices.

There are a few pages without info, basket or price- there are no helpful blogs on this part. There are a number of irrelevant pages. All the rest in the list were merely vendors giving no more infomation than found in the HP brochure.

Supply Situation

This is one of the few parts that have remained common across HP's big laser printers for years. If you are a service technician, you have almost certainly thrown out more than you have ever needed to replace. We think demand for the part will be very low and this writeup was more for completeness than commerce.

The part is listed by three distributors but they don't hold stock.

We may be able to provide these parts when required. The price is about £3.00 - its a transaction cost not a parts cost.

Prices quotes are guidelines, our prices change with distribution lists - see the catalog. Stock numbers in distribution indicate there is not much call for the part.
