The CLX-317xx is a multifunction printer-scanner based on the CLP-315 engine. It appears in four variants with USB only or with network, WiFi and fax and in two colour schemes white/grey and matte black.

The CLX-317xx Series launched in Europe im mid 2008. The CLX3170 doesn't seem to get much mention, presumably the black model appeals to marketing.

The CLX-3160xx is a multifunction printer-scanner based on the CLP-300 engine. The specification is otherwise very similar.
