Description
One hinge for scanner unit cover – the cover has two.
Also known as 2DC11030, 2DC11031 and 2DC11040.
Secured to the scanner lid with a couple of screws. The hinge contains a spring that acts as a counterbalance for the lid.
Like many cover and ADF hinges it has a tendency to fly apart.
Not for models with the optional ADF unit (HP call it the “Optional Document Processor” DP-100), they require either 3HK03010 Left Hinge or 3HK03020 Right Hinge – depending on which is broken.
No longer manufactured and no remaining stock (February 2021). More Background
In the US these printers are known under the “Copystar” brand, whilst “TA”, “Triumph Adler” and “Utax” in Continental Europe. Oddly they don’t use the same numbers so the Copystar KM-1820 is the Kyocera FS1118MFP.
2DC11060 is listed in the FS-1028MFP, FS-1118MFP (KM-1820) March 2005, FS-1028MFP (DP-110) manual Nov 2009
2DC11030 is listed in the KM-1500 Manual Feb 03
2DC11031 is listed in the FS-1018MFP (KM-1815) Manual Apr 04
2DC11040 is listed in another KM-1500 Manual Feb 03
This is not the correct hinge for models with an automatic document feeder.
The coloured graph lines track the fluctuations over time of the wholesale prices charged by different upstream suppliers. Even allowing for occasional pricing errors, this frequently highlights the wide variance in price over a product's lifetime, which is reflected in the final retail price.
