Description
Printing uses a surprising amount of memory. A black and white print on A4 at 1200 dpi could in principle require 16MB of RAM. A bitmap with 8 bit greyscale could be 128MB. Whilst the standard 512MB should usually be enough, the memory expansion reduces the chance of the printer slowing with large queues of network jobs.
