Brother DCP 375CW All-in-One

A4 inkjet based printer, scanner and copier with direct print from memory cards for photos. The inkjet printer is a 4 colour CMYK design with separate cartridges.

Brother publicity says:

Easily print, copy and scan colour documents and photographs at home with one compact, stylish printer. With wireless network as standard, the DCP-375CW all-in-one printer also boasts a media card centre enabling you to print high quality images from a memory card or a USB stick.

The printer can accept SD and XD memory cards but with it's one line text LCD it has no ability to provide a preview other than printing a sheet of thumbnails which will prove expensive if it is done often.

1 Line LCD display. Buttons for Colour and Mono copy and for Photo Capture and Scan etc. The lack of a colour LCD capable of showing images could be a disadvantage in picture printing but most users will use a PC to print such things.

Inkjet printers are capable of fast printing in draft mode but slow down very noticeably to produce high quality output. Reviews suggest that typical output speeds are are about 1/10th of the manufacturer quoted speed. The printer is slow.

Consumables:

The machine uses individual Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta ink cartridges that are separate from the print head assembly.

Brother give the following warning about initial ink cartridges: "The first time you install a set of ink cartridges the machine will use an amount of ink to fill the ink delivery tubes for high quality printouts. This process will only happen once. After this process is complete the cartridges provided with your lower yield than standard cartridges (65 %). With all following ink cartridges you can print the specified number of pages."
