Canon Pixma MP640
This illustration shows the platen unit which feeds paper through the printer under the printheads and the "spur unit" which passes above it.
The main points of interest are the optical encoder disks. One is used for paper feed and another for paper eject. This duplication is common on inkjet printers and has always been a bit puzzling.

Once again, research in UK parts distributors lists yielded nothing. Parts may be orderable but they are not stocked.
Web research showed the usual clutter of unhelpful "Helpowl" nonsense and a couple of possible parts suppliers - - one of them a European parts distributor.
Google suggested 32 results but only displayed 13 because others were similar. One European, 1 US and 1 Australian parts distributor.
A couple of people were offering the spring QC2-7782( 29 results). The response that offered parts suggested 27 AU cents - the cost of shipping would be the main problem.
Paper feed belt QC2-7667 (9 Google responses)
The same distributor has the QL2-3253 paper feed roller unit but at 40 Euros its a bit expensive - anyway what goes wrong with a paper feed to suggest replacement? Again the level of Google response (10 results) didn't suggest much interest.
Feed roller bushing 9 Google responses. Just 1 US distributor this time.
There seems to be a theme here. Canon have appointed a parts distributor on each continent and given them a list from which they are populating the pages. There is very little explanation of what the parts are for to inspire technicians to ask for them, so there is scant record of the parts in Google.
