Canon Pixma MX300 and MX310

All-In-One printer scanner, copier and fax based on a 2 cartridge inkjet printer. Unusually for a fax this printer has excellent colour photo reproduction and PictBridge capability.

The MX300 has the same functions as the MX310 except that it lacks the Automatic Document Feeder and just has a flatbed scanner.

The MX300 and 310 are basic machines. Products with more features are the MX700, MX850 and MX7600.

The MX700 looks similar to the MX310 but has a better feature set:-

  • Single inks for better colour print economy.
  • A small LCD display for menus and picture preview
  • An Ethernet port for network sharing.

The MX300, MX310 and MX700 were introduced in August 2007

The MX850 use 5 separate inks with 1 picolitre drops for better picture printing and a 4800dpi scanner which will be better for accurate colour photography work.

The MX7600 has all the features plus duplex print and a new ink technology boasting high quality and very long print life.

Speed for mono 22cpm, colour 17cpm in draft mode. Copy speed for colour documents approximately 38 seconds. Copy speed for 10x15cm borderless photo, approximately 50 seconds. Multi copy capability 1 to 99 copies.

Zoom 25 to 400%. Auto intensity (AE) copy. Frame erase copy. Push scan capable.

Fax Function: 33.6kbps (about 3 seconds per page) Fax memory about 50 pages. 20 location speed dial. Colour fax capable.
