HP Business Inkjet 3000 Printers

The HP Business Inkjet 3000 printer is a four-color A4 thermal inkjet printer that prints up to 21 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome (black and white) and 18 ppm in color.

• HP Business Inkjet 3000dtn C8118A has extra tray and Ethernet

Modular Ink Delivery System. Four large individually replaceable ink cartridges provides affordable color for workgroups, with significant cost savings. Smart printing features including LCD ink gauge, printhead replacement warnings, and transparency sensor.

Single-sheet straight-through paper path handles specialty photo papers and cardstock. 300-sheet input paper tray up to 8.5 x 14-inch media. Optional 100-sheet multipurpose tray provides media flexibility. 700-sheet input paper tray (standard on the dtn model) handles big color printing jobs - 1,100-sheet total capacity with the optional 100-sheet tray

HP publicity material claims this printer has (had) its lowest cost per page.

Simple intuitive LCD control panel. Job cancel and resume buttons. Ink level gauge. Embedded web server on network model. HP Remote Management Software (RMs) and Web Jetadmin for management. JetDirects can be 620n, 625n, 680n.

Claimed as 30,000 pages per month.

Print Speed:

Speeds in draft up to 21ppm black. 18ppm colour - typically 14ppm black and 8ppm mixed black and colour.

Print Resolution:

Up to 2400x1200 dpi with PCL 6. Enhanced colour layering with HP PhotoREt III Precision technology for true-to-life photo images on any type of paper.

A4 Paper Path. 100 sheet multipurpose input tray. 300 sheet main tray 2. Optional tray 3.O ptions for extra tray and duplex units are installed on the DTN model

Service:

There are limited repair and service options for these printers. For the most part they suffer the same faults as all inkjets - ink dries in the nozzles. This is likely after the printer has not been used for some time and is difficult to shift and possibly uneconomic because of the price of a complete set of inks and heads.
