The HP LaserJet M3027MFP and M3035MFP are robust print, copy, fax and digital sending machines working at speeds suiting "workteams". They have a flatbed 50 sheet reversing ADF and the M3027X has 2-sided copying. The scanners are capable of working at 25 inches per minute.

Printers are:

  • HP LaserJet M3027 MFP
  • HP LaserJet M3027x MFP
  • HP LaserJet M3035 MFP
  • HP LaserJet M3035XS MFP
  • HP LaserJet M3035xs MFP

The ADF roller unit comes in a kit called CB414-67918 and nicknamed "MCKINLEY".

The kit has the roller bogie, a separation pad and two black japanned screws to hold the pad in place. There is also an instruction sheet to show how to do the job.

There are two rollers assembled into a bogie, probably because changing the rollers individually would be fiddly and involve several screws and cogs. The CB414-67918 is very similar to the bogie used on many other HP Multifunction printers (the Q3948-67904), but differs mainly in having one roller on a metal shaft, presumably for better strength.

As with other machines the roller bogie is released by a button under the ADF lid. The part should be easy to swap when the automatic document feeder starts to misfeed frequently, just make sure the new part goes in the same way round that old one came out. (Or looking at it another way there are four possible ways round for the thing to go but only one will actually engage.)

We don't actually know whether the parts in this kit are interchangeable with similar kits. CB414-67918 differs in seemingly minor details from the Q3948-67904  (Bogie CC334-60068). The CC334-60068 is used in ten other printers and looks very similar but the differences seem sufficient not to risk it.
