HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Scanner

HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP (CC431A) is a popular copier or copier-fax machine based on the HP CP1210 engine. The scanner is attached to the top of the printer. In some models there is an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) as well. Fax models have a numeric keypad and a few quick-dial buttons.

The ADF uses pickup rollers said to be 5851-2259 by the service manual but in July 2012 Partsurfer doesn't recognise that part number and it isn't present in UK distribution.

The code5851-3580used in most of HP's low-end MFP machines is in Partsurfer and lists these printers as being amongst its use, so it is recommended. (There is a strong family resemblance among HP MFP scanners, as might be expected.)

As often happens the ADF Input tray is vulnerable to breakage. The part number CC431-60119 is shared with the CM2320.

Neither the service manual nor Partsurfer say so but other scanner components are likely to include the Q3948-67903 complete ADF mechanism.

The Service manual does suggest part number CC431-60131 as the complete ADF assembly but they don't seem to be available at UK distributors (in July 2012 we have been told they are discontinued - its big and probably wouldn't be very popular - email if you want one)

CC431-60101 is the control panel for the fax variant of the printer shown here. Two distribution warehouses list it but show no stock so it should be orderable but with a lead time.

CC430-60101 is the control panel for the copier-only variant of the printer. Again there may be a lead time.
