HP Color LaserJet CP5225 Printer
The Color LaserJet CP5225 is an A3 ( US "B" sized) colour laser printer. Introduced in 2009 it is still in the catalogue in 2015 HP has introduced the word "Professional" in the product name indicating the likely use in engineering, architecture, cartographic and marketing departments. Speed is up to 20 pages per minute in both colour and black and white - on A4 single sided. (Duplex A3 wil be a lot slower)
New machines cost more than £700 but then A3 does tend to carry a bit of a price premium. Most offices can do without A3, - only a couple of percent of print is bigger than A4 - but if you want engineering details or even a wide spreadsheet A4 is too cramped. The high price of the printer is compensated by big cartridges with a yield over 7,000 pages.
We know of engineering offices that got rid of the plotter because an A3 laser printer was adequate - and others who have bought an A0 designjet because it wasn't!
Versatile paper handling:

Basic paper capacity is 250 sheets in the main tray and up to 100 sheets in the multipurpose tray. The printer can handle an additional 500 sheet feeder tray.
The basic model connects via a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. A fast Ethernet 10/100Base-T network connection is provided on the "n" models. Auto duplex is provided on the "dn" model. The design was introduced in October 2009 alongside the CP4525 and CP3525.

Given that the printer has the 3 standard languages PCL 5. PCL 6 and a PostrScript Level 3 emulation it should work with almost anything
