HP Designjet 4500

The Designjet 4500 is a 42 inch large format thermal inkjet printer using double-swath printing to achieve both high quality and high speed. The printer can be matched with a scanner making it a multifunction copier and document storage workstation. A stacker can be added allowing the printer to run unattended for long periods.

  • Q1276A HP Designjet 4500mfp - the printer and scanner together.

Print resolution is up to 2400x1200 giving very accurate drawings and good photographic results. The 43 inch scanner has a resolution up to 508 dpi optical enhanced up to 9600 dpi allowing it to capture the smallest details on documents. The scanner has an intuitive 15 inch (381mm) touchscreen with a writeable DVD drive and a graphical user interface with inutitive control software to control scanning, copying and network printing. The Designjet 4500 is the successor to the Designjet 4000 and has a successor in the Designjet 4520.

Control:

The printer itself has LCD and buttons on the right of the printer body. The LCD shows user friendly animations for consumable levels. The printer also has HP Embedded Web server for driverless file submission, queue management, preview, supplies and printer status and error notification.The MFP scanner includes a 15 inch touchscreen display with an intuitive graphical user interface to control scanning, copying, DVD creation and network printing. The touchscreen has an Intel pentium 4 processor operating at 2.6GHz with 1GB local memory and a 40GB disk.

Scanner Abilities:

The HP Designjet 4500 Printer series delivers outstanding copy and scan performance. With scan speed of 3 inches per second color and 10 inches per second black and white, 2 A1-size (d-size) prints are produced in less than 1 minute. A wide bodied scanner with excellent image quality (508 dpi optical resolution), gives high quality data from original documents.
