HP DesignJet 700

HP DesignJet 700

The DesignJet 700 is a moderately fast monochrome 600dpi thermal inkjet printer. The primary purpose of these printers is to produce line drawings

As frequent with plotters and printers there are two versions, one simply wider than the other:

DesignJet 700 A1 (24-in, D-size) - C4705B

DesignJet 700 A0 (36-in, E-size) - C4706B

Improvements in printhead design and processing ability make the DesignJet 700 markedly faster than predecessors like the DesignJet 600.

The DesignJet 700 is a monochrome version of the DesignJet 750C and 755CM which are colour machines. Although the designs are similar there isn't an upgrade path from mono to colour.

Colour proves so useful that the DesignJet 700 is obsolete.
