HP Designjet T1120 HD-MFP (CK841A)

Multifunction print, copy and scan solution for large-format and production environments based on thermal inkjet technology and with a print and scan width up to 1100mm - 44 inches.

The HP Designjet T1120 HD-MFP combines a wide format 6-ink printer with a scanner to provide a multifunction device particularly suited to design tasks and photography.

The T1120 HD is a fuller featured version of the "SD": it has a large full-featured control touch-screen controller with a DVD writer; a scanner that can handle more difficult documents and PostScript support.

The integrated 15-inch touchscreeen controller with CD writer, keyboard and scan / copy / print software makes the machine easy to use. Large format documents can be managed from scan to archive or print using the built in functions . Real time preview of scan and print jobs and retouch software.

A built in DVD / CD reader writer allows the T1120HD to save and recover documents direct from disk.

The T1120HD has all the language support features of the "SD" model plus support for Adobe PostScript 3.

One big distinction in favour of the HD model is its use of CCD scanning technology using three digital cameras with four arrays with RGB filters that separate color components and panchromatic BW filter to ensure superior quality on grayscale. The scanner will give the best results with difficult documents - those with previously folded paper for instance.

The printer has Gigabit Ethernet so it can easily be shared on a network. there is also an embedded web server allowing users remote management of jobs. A USB2.0 connection is provided for direct connection to a PC.

The combination of printer and scanner allows capture of older documents and customers printed drawings. The scanner also allows re-capture of handwritten notes of design changes - which can be re-printed so everyone has the documentation of a meeting.

The T1120 machines are built on the succesful design of the T1100 and offer the same reliability. Enhanced processing and memory capabilities contribute to a substantial increase in speed.

Economic quality 41metres per hour. 56 D/A1 per hour on plain media in Fast mode; Color images: 445 ft2/hr (41 m2/hr) on coated media in Fast mode. 30 ft2/hr (2.8 m2/hr) on glossy media in Best mode.

Scanner Abilities:

The scanner used on the T1120 HD-MFP is a CCD type identical to that used onthe DesignJet 4520-DH-MFP. There are two advantages to CCD scanners:

- Depth of focal field allowing the scanner to cope with old and folded documents

- Colour Gamut is wider giving better reproduction of colour

The disadvantage of a wide-bodied CCD scanner is that it is an expensive item.

Black-and-white200 dpi/400dpi turbo : 15.2 cm/sec 6 in/sec. Colour at 200dpi/400dpi turbo 5.1 cm/sec 2 ips.

Copying: multiple copies, enlarge, reduce, color management. Reduction and enlargement 1 to 10000%. Maximum copies in one job is 1000.

Copier settings: Type of original, image rop and align preview, lightness, saturation and RGB controls, sharpen / blur, mirror copy, enlarge / reduce, paneling, tiling, nesting, accounting batch.

Scanning: scan to file, CD/DVD PDF, TIFF, JPEG, CALS, DWF formats, scan to USB and network. Scan accounting.

Scanner paper types: Non-abrasive paper, vellum, mylar, sepia, blueprints, plastic film, plastic laminate, foamboard, cardboard. (No plywood, stone plates, metal plates or abrasive, dirty, rough, sharp edged, metal clamped, burned surfaces, transparencies.)
