HP Laserjet 1012

The HP Laserjet 1012 is a small footprint laser-printer, excellent for home office use. The 1010 is similar but slightly slower and Windows only. The 1015 has a parallel port, more memory, PCL 5e, network and Linux / Unix capabilities.

Paper handling - A4 / US Letter path. Prority feed and 1 tray. Minimum Size 76 x127 mm (3 x 5 inches). Maximum Size 216 x 356 mm (8.5 x 14 inches). Paper weight up to 163 g/m2. Paper output capacity 125 sheets.

No built in network but compatible with USB print servers.

Most of the details and parts listings for for the Laserjet 1012 are given on the Laserjet 1010 page. The Canon LBP-2900, LBP-2900B and LBP-3000 are very similar mechanically. The space saving format is achieved by turning a more conventional "U" shaped feed path on its side to give a "C" shaped path . For a cross sectional diagram of the printer innards see the LJ 1010 page.
