HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier (CC988A)

Inkjet based colour printer, scanner and copier for paper sizes around A4. Maximum paper size is a small banner 8.5 x 24 inch. Suited to home and small office use. Six separate inks, built in duplex and wired ethernet.

Stand-alone copy function without the computer.

Although the printer does support direct printing from memory cards it doesn't support PictBridge, proof sheets, video action printing or camera phones.

The C6280 was sold until mid 2008. The replacement is the C6300 All-in-One series - ie the 6380.

Control:

2.4 inch colour display and pushbutton controls for most functions. Functions for adaptive lighting and red-eye removal. There is a simple copier type front panel, control via PC software and via the embedded ethernet port.

Duty Cycle:

Up to 3,000 pages per month.

Black print at up to 34 pages per minute and colour at up to 33ppm. 4x6 photos as fast as 10 seconds.

Scanner Abilities:

Flatbed scanner using a contact image scanner (CIS).Maximum scan size 8.6x11.7 inches. Hardware optical scan resolution 4800x4800 dpi at 48 bits. Enhanceable up to 19200 dpi.

Copy Abilities:

Black up to 34 copies per minute. Colour up to 33cpm. Copy resolution in black up to 1200x1200dpi and in colour up to 4800x1200 optimized dpi (at some sacrifice in speed).

Black at up to 1200 dpi. Colour at up to 4800x1200 optimized dpi.

Paper Handling:

Print media up to 8.5x24 inches. Auto Duplex as standard. Custom media sizes from 3x4 to 8.5x24 inches.

Memory:

64MB memory fitted as standard, not expandable. Memory Cards: CF SD/MMC, Memory Stick, MS-Duo, xD.
