One of the merits of the P4014 against a new printer is the low cost of good re-manufactured cartridges.

HP CB525A for HP P4014 and M601 Series Printers.

The HP CB525A part is the printer stand for the HP Laserjet M601, M604 and P4010 series printers. It allows safe movement of the printer to any location. Securely fasten the printer and printer accessories onto the stand, lower legs for more stability. The printer stand raises the printer and a stack of accessories to the optimal height for most users.

To the best of our knowledge there is no great difference to the design of the stand with successive generations of prrinter - howwever that would have to be determined by experimentation and we don't have the alternatives to hand to do that. this stand is listed for the P4014, M601 and M604 series which are all similar in design.

The CB525A printer stand is durable, and the scratch resistant finish matches the printer and accessories.

In operational terms it's just a metal stand on castors with stabiliser legs to secure it in place. There are also locating pegs and locking hook slots (which is why you can't just use a piece of plywood).

The CB525A is required if you use four or more accessory units under the printer to ensure the base width prevents the printer toppling. Each accessory has a locking toggle that grips to the one above.

In July 2015 a query on CE398-67901 at first seemed to give a "used with" list ; but a second query didnt and said:

…   PartSurfer behaviour is eccentric at times.

HP says the stand serves all printers in the P4014, M601 and M604 series - but Partsurfer doesn't confirm that. In July 2015 there was no CB525-67901 engineering brown box number.

Icecat says these stands have both a short public code and five GTIN codes 2001530941007, 8835852799688, 0883585279968, 0008358527996, 0999992856651. There were 51678 public views on this part

It seems odd that HP can use 9 GTINs for what seems to be one product.

A Google Query on CB525A (in quotes") in August 2013 gave about 8,800 results (0.23 seconds) with the first in organic search being as follows:

Prices noted are for a new item, one off, without tax. The list is as encountered. We haven't bothered with currency conversion - half of our readers are outside the UK and are more interested in dollar prices.

There are no helpful blogs on this part. There are a couple of irrelevant pages . All the rest in the list were merely vendors giving no more information than found in the HP brochure.

Supply Situation

The part is listed by one distributor who holds stock. We think demand for the part will be low.

When we last researched the CB525A part in 2013 the price was about £299. One distributor still lists it at about the same price but with no stock. We suspect distributors buy this in from HP European stock as needed.
