Error Message for HP LaserJet M601, M602, M603 Series Printers.
Error Codes:
This page lists the error codes produced by HP LaserJet M601,M602,M603 Printers. Errors and remedies are given briefly here and linked to pages that have more information.
HP have generally used the same set of error codes across the entire "LaserJet" range, so sometimes it is possible to infer what a code must mean even if the service manual doesn't actually say much. For the more generic list see this page.
The list here rather suggests HP might be moving away from numeric codes towards "plain writing"; that might be welcome by users as it is more immediately understandable. In the technical community we have always rather liked numeric codes because they are brief and not subject to the "Chinese Whispers" problem. However we all work with what we've got.
