HP P4014 Series Paper Delivery Unit RM1-4529.

HP part RM1-4529 is the paper delivery assembly used in the P4014, P4015 and P4515 series printers.

A paper delivery assembly is not a very complex device - its largely just rollers and guides through which a printed page travels as it goes to the face-down tray on top of the printer. The delivery assembly mates with the face-up trayRM1-4531(or RM1-5448 for the LJ P4014) which acts as the rear door and face-up tray.

It is not entirely unknown for the delivery assembly to give problems. Paper is hot when it passes through - hence all the ventilated plastic fins on the face-up tray. The paper is also being bent back on itself so the repaet action of thousands of leading edges might erode the plastic a bit. Many years ago this fault was found in LaserJet 4 printers (the ancestor of the P4014) and a temporary fix was to sandpaper the fins at the ridged point.

This part might also be known by the Canon number RM1-4529-000 and HP's full code is RM1-4529-000CN. HP Partsurfer doesn't list any other uses for this part.
