Lexmark T616 and T616N

Lexmark Optra T616 and T616n are A4 mono laser printers with a throughput of 35 pages per minute. There have always been faster machines but 35 ppm is often quite sufficient for office printers, so although the design dates back to 1999 these printers can still do a good job. Because this printer series had big toner cartridges they can also be cheap to run.

The Lexmark Optra T series are generally reliable, based on the "S" series

T616 often shipped with an embedded N2000 network interface so the T616n is the network version of the printer.

Lexmark don't have quite the control other manufacturers exercise on driving printers into obsolescence because Nupro manufacture equivalent fusers.

The machine was also available as a multifunction printer / copier as the X620e; It came with a Lexmark 3100 or 3200 scanner on top.

The T series has been fast and reliable so the design was extended into the T620 and T630 series.
