Lexmark T630 and T630n Laser Monochrome Printer.

An update to the T610 series based on a new engine design.

Multifunction Options Lexmark 3100 MFP option, Lexmark 3200 MFP option or Lexmark 4500 MFP option.

The T630 T632 and T634 were introduced in April 2003 (The Setup Guide says January 2003).

Machines that are almost the same are sold as the IBM Infoprint series.

Control:

LCD Display and simple menu buttons. On the T630 the controls are moved to a prominent panel in the top middle of the printer lid making the machine look quite different from it's predecessors.

Note that sources vary on exactly how many pages these cartridges print with the user manual giving slightly smaller figures than Lexmark's later information. In practice yields aren't that precise. Note that toner yields are at 5% page cover.

Fuser:

Laser printer fusers adhere toner to the page using a combination of heat and pressure.

Maintenance Kit:

Maintenance kits include a fuser, transfer roller, charge roller and the pick rollers. The T630 and T632 will give the message "80 Scheduled Maintenance" on the LCD screen after printing that number of pages. Service technicians normally change these parts and give the printer an inspection and clean. After this the maintenance count must be reset to zero to clear the message.

Spares:

Spares Listed for T630 generally fit the T630, T630n T630d, T630tn, T630dn, T630dt, T630dtn. The parts are also generally common with the T632 and T634 although those machines have larger trays.

Whats-In-The-Box:

These printers have been discontinued for some time and will no longer be available new. Refurbisher and brokers do sell machines, usually with a workable or refurbished cartridge but not with new fusers or sets of rollers. Warranty on second hand machines is usually 90 days or 6 months but would not include cover against fuser failure. User and service manuals can be found online.
