Samsung SCX-6555N Mono Multifunction Printer

The SCX-6555N in an A4 mono multifunction printer/copier capable of meeting the needs of medium and large workgroups. Print speed is 55 pages per minute for US letter, a bit slower for A4 and using the duplex. There is a built in network and hard disk and a clear and informative colour control panel. It can handle double sided documents with duplex capabilities built into both the scanner ADF and the printer.

The SCX-6555NX is similar (identical hardware, except for a larger hard disk). The SCX-6545N is the same hardware but sold at a lower price point - firmware allows the printer to run at just 45 pages per minute. HP do a similar thing with the P4014 and M601 printers - lower price but a speed limit.

The SCX-6555N copies at a rate of 53 (A4) pages per minute. And when you add optional 500 sheet cassettes, you can increase paper capacity to 3,240 sheets.

The 80 GB hard drive allows advanced features like collate printing, proof printing, delayed printing, confidential printing and password protected printing.

Scan to email and scan to network

The scan to network feature is extremely useful when hard copies must be distributed across a networked environment, emailed or simply saved to your PC in various formats. The powerful scan to e-mail feature allows you to choose recipients from your address book and e-mail documents directly from your printer. You can also send black and colour documents to multiple recipients.
